Seven checks on whether your ERP is working as hard as you paid it to — led by people who have sat in the CFO, CIO and CEO chairs.
Go-live is treated as the finish line. The implementation team moves on, and the gap between what the system was meant to do and what it actually does grows quietly every month.
Six signs your system is costing more than it should
Your system is costing you more than it should. The Health Check finds out why, puts a value on it and gives you a roadmap the board can act on.
We are independent of whoever implemented and supports your system today. We have no work of our own to defend.
Each area answers one question a leadership team should be able to answer about its system. Each is rated Healthy, Needs attention or At risk, so you can see where you’re strong and where the risk sits.
Can we trust the numbers, is the system paying for itself, and could we prove our controls to an auditor?
Is the system built well, is the data clean, and how much work is still done by hand?
Are people using it as designed, and will it carry the business we’re becoming?
Can we trust the ledger, and is the system delivering the return in the business case?
Reconciliation status, a close-time baseline, ledger risks by value and where the return is leaking.
How well is the system built, how stable is it, and is it ready for the next release?
A customisation inventory with risk ratings, a dependency map and an upgrade-readiness list, starting with a SuiteAudit scan.
Is the master and transaction data complete, accurate and consistent?
A data quality score by record type, a clean-up list ranked by impact and simple ownership rules.
Are people using the system as designed, or working around it?
An adoption score by team, a split between system faults and training gaps, and a targeted training plan.
How much routine work is still done by hand that the system could do?
An automation map of manual, semi-automated and automated work, with hours and dollars per opportunity.
Will the system support where the business is going in the next three years?
A gap view against the three-year plan and a roadmap showing what must be fixed before each growth step.
Who can do what, who approves what, and could we prove it to an auditor?
A role and access review, a segregation of duties conflict list and a governance model for change and support.
Status reports are usually written by the team delivering the work. They track milestones, not whether the system works for the business, so problems compound quietly every month.
Woolworths’ six-year SAP programme left stores unable to order from suppliers or see their weekly profit and loss. Most problems are far smaller, but the lesson is the same: what isn’t checked keeps costing.

Knows what a clean close, a reconciled balance sheet and a defensible margin look like. Tests the numbers as an auditor or financier would, and values every finding in dollars.
Knows how systems are built, integrated, secured and changed safely. Separates what must be fixed from what can wait.
Knows what the board needs to decide and what growth demands. Ties every finding to strategy and frames the roadmap as an investment case.

A read-only scan of customisations, roles, errors and configuration, reviewed by hand — it runs in under 60 minutes and forms the evidence base behind the System Health area.
Not at all. You own the findings and the roadmap. Deliver it with your own team, your current support partner, or AVT.
6–12 months after go-live, before a WMS rollout, new entity or acquisition, when you change support partner, or before a year-end audit or financing review.
Area owners complete a short questionnaire, then short workshops run with finance, operations, sales, IT and leadership — typically an hour or two per function.
